“The ‘Books’ is an illustration of social distance, self-isolation, self-elimination, of the concepts that have been forcibly given visual effect, but according to the principles of which modern society exists on everyone’s own initiative.
It’s not a reluctance to understand each other but the fact that it’s impossible to do so. Being ‘next to each other’ in the conditions of common history, where everyone has his own place, and, therefore, own point of view. During global changes, it makes communication impossible. The public is found itself unable to make their verdict, and the role of ‘active observer’ becomes the only one that bypasses the condemnation by the public. Inertia becomes the dominant form of interaction.
The result is an objective inconsistency of concepts with their definition. The word that unites with common roots makes the movement impossible because the roots are intertwined and the isolated attempts at movement are drowning in that dominant form of interaction.”

"Modern Art" is the final work of the "History of Art" triptych. The triptych itself illustrates the evolution of art from the classics to the present. On the one hand, it is a self-contained object that speaks for itself with the inscription, "Please do not touch the art object." On the other hand, it is a stanchion of restriction that, under the pretext of the art object, restricts the void. The emptiness here is a significant component of the intention
